I am no expert at meditating. In fact I think it took me about 7 years to learn, resisting even trying to learn it the first 3 years… Now I try to take 15 minutes every morning. Note: it doesn’t happen every morning and that’s okay, 6 out of 7 is still very good!
I’m still not sure if I’m doing it right. But I do know that it feels good to slow down.
I’ve been follow a recording called Phase 6 by Mindvalley (more info on that below). Sometimes if my mind is racing I can’t focus on the thoughts, so all I do is breathe in and out and that helps to. For me meditation is focusing on my breath, being calm in the moment and setting an intention for my life.
On this page you’ll find some of the resources that have helped shape my path to where I am today – still no expert, but I’ve learned to enjoy the process.
Description of the app: Enjoy the benefits of meditation as you walk. Walking meditation can be just as profound as sitting meditation. Perfect for those who have trouble sitting still to meditate, it’s also great for those who enjoy sitting meditations. It helps bring meditation into every moment of the day. As you walk, you are gently guided to experience your body and your surroundings fully. Letting go of thoughts about the past and future allows you to experience the present moment more fully.
