If you’re stuck in your current job, or if you’re out there looking for a new job let’s talk. From my years in HR I know how the system works on the backend and I know there is a better way for you to spend your time and resource when it comes to finding your next job
Let’s talk about how BeBetter Coaching can help you make some changes and find a GREAT job that you’ll actually LIKE.
1) Create your personal pitch and story people like people like themselves and they tend hire people that they like regardless of their education and resume facts
2) Update resume and LinkedIn there is a system to this, forget the traditional or pretty resume, it needs to match the backend of the modern recruiting software
3) Narrow in and focus on finding the right job fit for you there are a lot of factors to consider here, especially your values – let’s talk about them
4) Ways to market yourself and not get dragged down by the traditional process of online applying, it can be depressing, let’s do a different way
5) Interview process and practice I love this part, this where we get to make you shine! You’re freaking awesome and they need to know that too.
6) Negotiating terms this is the fun part! Having an approach to not be afraid to ask for what you want
Reasons you get nervous during job interviews: It’s scary and uncomfortable being judged…. Don’t like being the focus and having to come up with good answers for whatever they ask you… You don’t know what they’re going to ask… There’s no checklist, you don’t know for sure if what you say is a good answer… Maybe you you find it hard to brag about yourself… A job interview is an artificial situation. Everything in it is “fake”. In real life, we tend not to put ourselves in situations where we’re judged for everything we say or don’t say… So if you have to walk into a strange building (or get on the Zoom meet!) to meet a person you’ve never met before to get the job that you want, there is a way to do it so it feels good… Below is a summary of how I work with my clients through the interview process. We practice and repeat using the tools below:
It requires courage, self-awareness, hard work and single-minded commitment, but great careers are the means to make the world a better place.
