Maybe you’re moving away from something (I don’t want to end up like my cousin) or moving towards something (I want to look like that)? It doesn’t matter to get you started as long as your motivation is coming from a desire that you want things to be different. Your reasons for wanting this goal has to be greater than the comfort of staying the same.
Do you know the reasons for goals? Try asking yourself why you want a certain thing, and then ask why you want that and then ask why again until you uncover the true reason for setting about a goal.
Being able to imagine yourself after your goal is accomplished is very important. It’s like giving the brain GPS directions to your destination, this is what it looks like where we’re going.
